The tools that survive are the ones that sit in the editor. A chat tab in the browser gets closed on Friday. An inline complete that knows the current file does not.
Public threads keep repeating the same pattern: people try five products, keep one completion engine, and maybe a second window for “explain this error”. The rest become screenshots in a tweet.
If a tool needs you to paste the whole repo into a form, it will lose to the one that already has the repo. That is not a model quality issue. It is a path issue.
Before you buy a seat, use it on a real bug for a week. If you did not open it on day four, you will not open it on day forty.
